A 4-Week Journey to Discover the Hero Inside!

At Super Kay’s Hero Academy, your child will embark on a four-week journey of self-discovery, courage, and kindness, learning how to be a hero in their own life, for their family, their community, and even the world around them.
Through engaging storytelling, role-playing, and interactive discussions, kids will explore the power of small, meaningful actions—learning that heroism isn’t about superpowers, but about character, confidence, and compassion.
As part of this course, each child will receive:
📖 A copy of the first Super Kay Adventure book: Flowers for Mom – A heartwarming story they can take home and share with their family. (Retail at $15)
📓 Hero Journal-Red Edition – A guided journal they will fill out throughout the course, helping them reflect on their daily heroic choices and how they can make a difference. (Retail at $20)

WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL EXPLORE EACH WEEK:
Week 1: Be a Hero for Yourself – Every hero starts by taking care of themselves! Kids will learn the importance of self-confidence, positive choices, and perseverance.
Week 2: Be a Hero for Your Family – Heroes make home a better place through kindness, respect, and helpfulness.
Week 3: Be a Hero for Your Community – Even small acts can make a big impact! Kids will explore how they can be everyday heroes in their school, neighborhood, and beyond.
Week 4: Be a Hero for the World Around You – Heroes protect and care for all living things. In our final session, kids will recognize the hero inside them and commit to continuing their journey.
Throughout the course, children will fill out their Hero Journal, practicing what they learn each week and reflecting on their own heroic actions. At the end of the course, they’ll take home *Flowers for Mom* to continue the conversation with their family.

Class Description:
Economics isn’t just for adults—it’s part of every choice we make! Why do some things cost more than others? How do businesses set prices? What happens when outside forces, like the government, step in to change the rules?
In Introduction to Economics: The Game of Smart Choices, students will think critically, negotiate strategically, and apply real-world economic principles through the STEM-authenticated board game Is That The Best You Can Do?. With small class sizes (max 6 students!), each session provides personalized attention and an immersive, hands-on learning experience.
Through interactive lessons, engaging discussions, and game-based challenges, students will develop:

📌 Key Concepts: Scarcity, wants vs. needs, voluntary exchange, and how supply & demand shape prices.
🎲 Game Challenge: Students engage in their first round of Is That The Best You Can Do?, learning to barter and make trade decisions.
🧠Academic Skills Practiced: Mental math (price calculations - calculators can be used, if desired), critical thinking, persuasive reasoning.
🤔 Discussion: What happens when a product becomes rare? What if everyone wants the same thing?

Week 2: The Price Is Right… Or Is It? (Value & Negotiation)
📌 Key Concepts: Subjective value, negotiation, and why the same item can have different prices depending on the buyer and seller.
